The quarter-final matchups for the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt have been confirmed following the conclusion of the group stage on Friday.

In the final round of group matches, host nation Egypt secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Tanzania, while South Africa played out a 1-1 draw with Zambia.

 These results ensured that both Egypt and South Africa advanced to the quarter-finals.

They join Nigeria, Senegal, Morocco, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and DR Congo in the last eight of the competition.
